Ian C (ca) wrote: This World War I war drama offers one of Errol Flynn's finest performances - Flynn's one of my favorite actors, and I grew up on his swashbuckler movies, so it's always interesting to see him in other types of roles besides sword-swinging woman-wooing daredevils. He also has an excellent supporting cast to work with, including David Niven and Basil Rathbone. As with Flynn, it's a treat to see Basil Rathbone in a different type of role - but it's weird to see them talking as friends instead of dueling with swords. Also a powerful anti-war film, about the futility and ultimate tragedy of warfare.
Kat V (it) wrote: Turner is really this film's only saving grace. It wasn't a terrible movie, and they had their fingertips on a simple story that could have been very entertaining... but they fell short. Scene after scene without much movement or story development... I don't really have much to say on it. It should not be dismissed entirely, if you're bored one Sunday...pop it in.
Simon T (ca) wrote: A good premise quickly goes nowhere. So much could have been done with the simple idea of someone deciding to say yes to every opportunity, but the movie is soon treading water. Jim Carrey and Zooey Deschanel spar attractively and it's soon over... ...and forgotten.

Shaun B (es) wrote: Fantastic multi-layered Irish story. Viciously hilarious. One of the most under-rated film of the 2000's. I would recommend this film to EVERYONE!
Sharon B (ag) wrote: Seidl is one of my favorite directors. I love the way he uses interior and exterior spaces in this film. I think he's also very skilled at capturing relationships and brining out what seems like the internal dialogues of characters.
Javier M (es) wrote: I liked it although is a slow film. It moved me.
Matthew L (ag) wrote: A warm, gentle but overall enjoyable comedy that has its roots in the screwball comedies of early Hollywood. Great performances from real life couple Hawn and Russell, with a group of kids that you don't want to smother with a pillow. A rare comedy that doesn't rely upon vulgarity, swearing or toilet humour for its laughs. They rarely make films like this anymore.

Michael B (fr) wrote: Unique... GREAT plot, starts out good. Has a few 'unusual' twists and turns. A little drawn-out more than needed. Solid good, but could have been better.
Ashley H (ca) wrote: Wimbledon is a decent film. It is about pro tennis player who has lost his ambition and has fallen in rank to 119 but finds love with an American tennis player who helps him find his motivation again. Paul Bettany and Kristen Dunst give good performances. The script is enjoyable but a little slow in places. Richard Loncraine did an alright job directing this movie. I liked this motion picture because of the humor and romance.
