Luke E (jp) wrote: Jim Jarmusch the coolest post-modern filmmaker to arise out of the 1980s brings us his unique style to a documentary chronicling the rise and fall of 'The Stooges', am influential rock band associated with the rise of punk music in the early 1970s. The documentary combines interviews with the surviving band members sharing their hilarious and often heartfelt stories combined with Jarmusch's deadpan style and feeling. While fans of the Stooges will actually have a ball watching this film, for those who aren't that familiar with the band in particular will probably find the style injected into the film's subject matter and story to be incredibly worthwhile. Overall, it's a funny, entertaining, insightful and evocative documentary put together, definitely essential for Stooges fans, music documentaries and Jim Jarmusch's filmography.
Don S (fr) wrote: Insufferably long and worse, boring. I'm not a Joffe fan really, only watched it for Olga Kurylenko, who was good in her role. The acting is above average, but the story is not very interesting and crawls along at the pace of a slug. I didn't get a feel for these characters, and the Spanish Civil War made no sense at all to me.

Benjamin B (ag) wrote: While Tom Hanks' performance is mesmerizing, as well as Zemeckis' directing largely impeccable with ingenious plot elements to keep the viewer interested, the last fourth of the movie is too slow and drags on what should be a very enjoyable conclusion. Regardless, one cannot ignore the powerful ride that is Cast Away.

The woman who lives on the coast near the wreck has a direct connection to the shipwreck and lets the divers stay at her place, yet warns them of the undead. There is an underwater zombie fight ala Zombie 2. If you want to see all earlier zombie films, dont miss this one.
Bruno D (br) wrote: Underworld is honestly a really interesting concept but the film itself isn't very good just decent. It's muddled with a decent plot, mediocre character writing, mediocre film writing, etc. As a fan of werewolves this movie isn't vet good in that department. The werewolves in this film are basically just boring shape shifters with a mediocre design albeit pretty good practical effects. The series also is notorious for using the color blue for its main color palette which to be honest I do think fits pretty well with these movies but they over use it so much throughout all the films. Kate Beckinsale is pretty good in the leading role and delivers a solid performance. The whole cast gives a pretty good performance despite the script problems. Overall tho this is a decent albeit kinda boring action movie that brings the mythos of vampires and werewolves to modern day with some pretty good performances. practical effects and a somewhat decent plot. 2/5

Jason T (ag) wrote: Interesting film the shows a goof part of American history not told before. Great cast and performances. It's a shame the movie moves slow and feels so stagey. Many history channel movies and miniseries feel more complete.
Jocey D (it) wrote: It's another bloody and violent western movie with a beautiful twist found in two Danish brothers, played by Mikael Persbrandt and Mads Mikkelson, and the very quiet Eva Green. It doesn't have much of a plot but its resolution is quite satisfying.
Facebook U (br) wrote: Terrible story. Boy all these superheroes and magic films go way over the top. At some point, it doesn't have anything in common with normal life and yet the buddies and bandits are clichs to the max. So this like a western with fantasy clothings. The fantasy seems cooked up randomly without solid roots, like the tree in the film, it comes and goes. Good acting and special effects keep two stars for the film. Dismally epic.
