Edward B (de) wrote: I am mystified how this movie got bad reviews and Pacific Rim good reviews. Anyway... Battleship had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. I cared about the characters. Good humor. Gorgeous photography. Great acting. Great writing. Many characters whose stories I cared about, most involving character growth. There were a couple plausibility problems, but I don't hold that against them. The aliens kill everybody... except those they don't consider a threat. The aliens have star-spanning technology... and ships that must move by LEAPING from spot to spot in the water. I get that this was a nod to the board game, but come on. This is the reason it got four stars instead of five. It's a great movie. Go see it. You'll like it.

Liew J (nl) wrote: action scene is not bad.... the story is initially good but the plot in the movie is very weak. Suppose we could have see a nice character developments, but the movie did not do it well. Low cost production, bad special effects, ugly....poor....

Nick A (nl) wrote: Dark thriller with a lot of good intentions, but still something was definitely missing in the first half. After the twist, it was just as predictable as far as I'm concerned. Decent acting, but nothing I would need to see twice.

Melissa R (gb) wrote: love this movie...totally funny.

Daniel C (es) wrote: Amusing, confident Canadian flick.

Brian M (fr) wrote: Watching this tonight. Pray for me. Actually ready for some zany, completely redeeming fare. Thought that this would fit the bill.

Brian R (it) wrote: " I am an alien spouse of female military personnel en route to the United States under public law 271 of the Congress." Charming screwball comedy starring the delectable Ann Sheridan and the incomparable Cary Grant - no-one does suave but fruity quite like him. The final scenes where he has to dress as a woman to board the boat bound for the United States are a joy, but my favourite bit is also the silliest, where he has great difficulty positioning his hand comfortably whilst falling asleep in a rocking chair. They don't make em like this anymore.

Peter P (kr) wrote: Confusing and awesome. Great performances from the cast, and a plot that gets more interesting and twisted with further viewing, who is telling the truth, what really happened, beats me, but it is pretty darn cool either way.

Brian P (us) wrote: The director's cut is the very definition of Cyberpunk. Hard choices, no rainbows, no voice over, no happy endings. Genre-defining and an incredible film, as hard as it was to watch.

Aaron G (nl) wrote: A decent B-horror film that was ruined by its sellout, greed-inspired ending.
